HeatStreets is a 100% anonymous and private App that lets you see where cool people are hanging out. It will not tell you which cafe, bar, club etc. is hot but rather show you, if any destination you have in mind is populated by people at this very moment and you can touch any heat point for a second to see what places are nearby (for now only in Berlin). On the other hand you can see if there are crowds in unusual places like in the park or if there is a street fair simply by seeing hot spots of people.

When you use the App, you are transmitting your location and it will therefore ask you for your ok to do so. However, we do not ask you to set up any account and will not have any profile of yours nor any personal identifier that would generate any anonymous profile even if it may be without any connection to you as a person or the device you are using. There further is no connection to any Apple, Facebook, Twitter etc. account (something hard to find these days).

Every time you use the App and information is sent, this is a unique set of data. We added the option to look at the "heat in the streets" by sex, age and style. If you want to see this information, we kindly ask you to also submit this kind of information. Again, telling the server that there is a male, age 27 who likes Techno in the center of Berlin will not make you identifiable. This information is vary vary vague. Besides the fact that it will not lead to any actual person, it is also insufficient to connect the single locations sent from your device. There will be just to many males age 27 that like Techno to connect the dots and generate any type of profile.

Lot of talk about privacy? This is our most important issue. We dont want to know you. We dont want your mobile soul. We dont want to be responsible if someone breaks into your apartment because you told the world you aint home. We just want to make the heat on the streets visible so you can look with your friends and find out if it is worthwhile to walk 20 minutes to some bar that might be empty already or not.

Please try us (Berlin is already quite hot) and recommend us!!! Jérôme & Thomas

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
